Brooklyn videomakers getting national attention

Three recent efforts by Brooklyn filmmakers have caught national attention. See their trailers and awards here.

Brooklyn Filmmaker Collective member Sophia Peer directs her second video for The National, gets an interview on IMVDb (Internet Music Video Database), in which we learn that they went through a lot of beer while shooting:

Local multimedia cooperative, Nomadique‘s video, American Value: Herb Dishman: China, Texas earns a profile as a Staff Pick on Vimeo.

Ryan Koo, according to the Brooklyn Filmmaker’s Collective’s blog, won the NBC Universal Audience Award at its ShortCuts Film Festival. He also won an $18,000 grant from the new accelerator for independent film production, Dogfish.
