Somewhere in the middle of a decidedly non tech story about the downfall of the Brooklyn Philharmonic, in Crain’s, the president of the League of American Orchestras blames troubles in the performing arts on internet music “streaming.”

“It’s not great, but at least the downward trend stopped,” said Jesse Rosen, president of the League of American Orchestras. “All performing-arts organizations are having a problem because audiences can stream what they want on demand and curate their own experience.”

Technically Brooklyn suspects there may be one or two other factors in play.
