A music platform startup with employees in Austin, Texas and New York City has just hired a Philadelphia-area media executive as its Chief Content Officer.
Rockify, whose latest product, Rockify.tv, has been described as “Pandora for music videos,” was founded in April 2011 by 28-year-old Joel Korpi. The startup hired Mark Tuttle, 61, to lead its content acquisition and management efforts.
Tuttle previously owned a “boutique communications and media design agency” based in Montgomery County, according to his LinkedIn profile. He also produced several aviation television series hosted by astronaut Neil Armstrong.
Rockify has seven employees: its Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Marketing are in New York, its four-person development and marketing team is in Austin and its Chief Content Officer will now work out of Montgomery County.
