AT&T’s 4G LTE network has arrived in Philadelphia, according to a press release. It’s the battle of fast to angle at retaining and attracting customers.
The network upgrade is said to come with perks like Internet speeds up to ten times faster than 3G and more efficient use of spectrum, the release says. The announcement was, as our sister site in Baltimore noted, timed with the launch of the iPhone 5. There major infrastructure was highlighted as part of the upgrade. Here the focus has been on more efficient use of what exists.
AT&T has been rolling out its 4G network in cities across the country, including Wilmington, Del., Sacramento, Calif. and Memphis, Tenn, in addition Baltimore.
