Greenpoint tech hub A/D/O hosts a PechaKucha night next week featuring designers and artists from some of the top agencies in Brooklyn.
The night’s theme will be “Common Sense” and the form will be that each presenter offers 20 slides, about which they speak for 20 seconds each. This is the form of PechaKucha, a Japanese word which means “chit chat.”
The event will focus on “common sense — whether learning valuable lessons, investigating new technologies, or totally failing — with a very social beer break or two,” according to organizers.
Speakers will include:
- Maria Aiolova, the cofounder of TERREFORM ONE
- Wes Rozen, a partner at Situ Studio
- Emma Exley, a designer and a volunteer with the PechaKucha Night New York chapter
- Jae Shin, a partner at Hector
Tickets do cost money, $18, and the evening starts at 8:20 p.m.
