Zantech IT Services is expanding its Tysons Corner office, bringing 120 jobs

Zantech IT Services, a provider of tech solutions to federal government and industry clients, will create 120 new jobs and invest nearly $320,000 in its Virginia presence as the company expands its corporate offices in the Tysons Corner area.

Gov. Ralph Northam announced the expansion plans since Virginia competed with Washington, D.C., Maryland and West Virginia for the project, the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) said in a press release. The FCEDA worked with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) to secure the project for Virginia.

“Zantech is the perfect company to take advantage of the IT-based workforce in Fairfax County and the region, and [President and CEO] Zia Islam is a great example of the rich diversity of our business community leadership that is a hallmark of Fairfax County,” Catherine W. Riley, interim president and CEO of the FCEDA said in a statement.

Islam launched the company in 2007 to provide federal government customers with professional IT services including program support, applications development, systems operations, maintenance and more. The FCEDA has worked directly with Zantech during the past six years to fulfill these needs.

“Fairfax County is the perfect location for our headquarters office to attract and retain a qualified workforce with advanced degrees and security clearances,” Islam said in a statement. “It is also a wonderful place to live, which is why over 80 percent of our employees who work in Virginia also live in Virginia.”

VEDP will support Zantech’s job creation through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program, the FCEDA reported, which provides consultative services and funding to companies creating new jobs or experiencing technological change in order to support employee training activities.
