Here’s who won this year’s TEDCO ICE Awards

TEDCO handed out its annual honors for “Innovation,” “Corporate Excellence” and “Entrepreneurship” on Tuesday. The ICE Awards ceremony at Columbus Center in Inner Harbor marked a move into Baltimore city after last year’s event in Columbia.
Here are the TEDCO portfolio companies that won:

Innovation

Three startups split the award in this category this year. From Baltimore, Sisu Global Health was honored just a few hours after showing off its work at Harbor Designs and Manufacturing. Bethesda’s Cobrain and Hyattsville-based fire-tech company MF Fire also picked up awards.

Corporate Excellence

Following its big licensing deal for allergy vaccine tech, Immunomic Therapeutics got recognition from TEDCO. The company is forging ahead with cancer applications on technology that was developed in the Johns Hopkins University lab of Dr. Tom August.

Entrepreneurship

With growth at Allovue that included closing a $5 million Series A and lots of (diversity-mindedhiring, CEO Jess Gartner was honored for her edfintech entrepreneurship.
