Never run out of power again with this Jersey-made gadget

Weego, out of Westampton, N.J., wants to put an end to dead batteries everywhere.

Weego created its Portable Power Jump Starter 44 to help you avoid that ever-embarrassing scene of you standing in an empty parking lot, flimsy jumper cables in hand, waiting for the kindness of strangers under the pouring rain. (Because it’s always raining when your battery dies.)

The Westampton, N.J.-based company — founded in 2014 as a spinoff of Philly-based papermakers Paris Corp. — built what it sees as the solution to all of our power woes. Weighing in at 1.5 pounds and small enough to fit in your back pocket, the lil’ gizmo can jumpstart a 6.4-liter gas engine (or a 3.2-liter diesel one), and comes with moron-proof clamps.
It’s not just for cars, though. And that’s what’s piquing our interest.
Boats, ATVs, bikes, phones, laptops and basically anything in need of juice can get a quick jump through the 41Wh lithium-battery, which can be fully charged in three hours.
If you’re down for shelling out $149 for the Weego 44, you can preorder now to get it shipped by Sept. 1.
