In 2020, the Emerging Enterprise Center’s Swim With the Sharks pitch competition pivoted from a luncheon event for the business community to a televised event accessible to all last year, when in-person events were restricted due to COVID-19. While many in-person events have returned in post-vaccine 2021, this one — with a name that nods to the popular ABC TV series “Shark Tank,” which made the VC pitch a spectator sport — is staying in its televised format, at least for one more year.

On Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m., you can watch three Delaware entrepreneurs compete for $10,000 and prizes on NCCTV channel 22 (Comcast) and channel 29 (Verizon), or livestreamed via the EEC’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

The four finalists are:

All finalists will receive a one-year membership to the NCC Chamber and a professional promotional pitch clip by King Creative. In addition to the grand prize package, finalists will also compete for the $1,500 People’s Choice Award.

This year, it will feature final round judges Chris L. Kenny, Esq., president and CEO at The Kenny Family ShopRites of Delaware; Stephanie Eldridge, cofounder of Code Differently; and Northern Delaware growth coach Bruce Rushton.
