The National Postal Forum is coming to Baltimore next month. It may sound like just another industry conference heading to the harbor, but startups have a chance to leave their stamp (?) on the event.
The U.S. Postal Service and D.C.-based NotionTheory are hosting a pitch competition on May 24. Applications are open, and eight startups will get a chance to deliver, rain or shine, snow or sleet.
Apply by May 10
NotionTheory’s Stephen Kae said it will help if startups have a business that is relevant to the postal service in some way, but it’s not required. Being an early stage company is a must, however. Teams have to be smaller than five people, operating for less than two years and received less than $250,000 in funding.
It’s a follow-up to last year’s inaugural event, which was held in D.C. This year, organizers added a cash prize of $25,000.
