UD investigates HIV treatment impact across generations

Children of treated parents are more likely to do well in school, according to UD research in Zambia.

Researchers at University of Delaware are conducting an HIV treatment study in Zambia, according to a report from Delaware Public Media.
The long and short of it is this: The treatment of a parent with HIV affects the performance of their child in school. The study’s findings suggest that the child of a treated parent will do better in school. The study’s findings seem to be applicable to Delaware’s population as well.
