Trellist, a Wilmington, Del.-based digital marketing firm, acquired Scribewise, a Center City-based content marketing company, for an undisclosed amount, according to a release.

The move is Trellist’s way of getting into the content marketing business — it previously did not have any content marketing staffers, said Trellist spokeswoman Beth Umstetter.

For Scribewise, it gives the company “access to the full toolbox — digital strategy, social business, graphic design, technology development, business consulting and staffing,” Scribewise CEO John Miller wrote on the company blog.

All four Scribewise employees will remain in Philadelphia. Some will move to Trellist’s Navy Yard office, which currently employs a dozen, and others will move to a new Philadelphia Trellist office slated to open in Conshohocken or King of Prussia, Umstetter said. Trellist employees will be able to choose what office they want to work out of.

Correction: The new office will be Trellist's third in the Greater Philadelphia area, including its Wilmington home base. An earlier version of this story said it would be its second. (Updated 10/3/14, 12:16 a.m.)
