Washington, D.C.-based marketing analytics company TrackMaven has merged with Boston-based Skyword, provider of a content marketing platform and other services. The two companies have joined forces to form a stronger marketing platform by combining analytics with content marketing.

Combined, the companies have 400 B2B and B2C customers including companies like Dick’s Sporting Goods, DXC Technology, IBM, Aetna, HP and Campbell Soup Company.
“The TrackMaven team couldn’t be more thrilled to join with the Skyword team and continue serving our clients in an even more powerful capacity,” TrackMaven CEO Allen Gannett said in a statement.
Tom Gerace will lead the combined company as CEO while Gannett serves as chief strategy officer and focus on leading corporate strategy efforts. TrackMaven’s current president, Tim Koubek, will serve as COO and be responsible for all go-to-market functions.
The combined company’s headquarters will be in Boston, with field offices in Pittsburgh and D.C.
The financial terms of the merger were not disclosed but the two companies’ platforms will integrate immediately, and both platforms will be supported and operated separately until fully integrated.
