The Millennial Summit expands with Entrepreneurship Day

This year you can spend two days at the #MILLSUMMIT.

The Millennial Summit will return to the Chase Center in Wilmington on August 6 to 7, with an impressive guest list and an entire second day devoted to entrepreneurship.

Described as “a one-of-a-kind, interdisciplinary conference for young professionals, rising stars, innovators, and industry leaders in the Mid-Atlantic to connect and grow,” the event will feature more than 100 speakers leading discussions about everything from finance to advocacy to the arts.

Day one, also known as Leadership Day, will follow the format of the two previous Millennial Summits, with speakers, breakout sessions, activities and exhibitors covering the topics of leadership, finance, advocacy, nonprofits, health and wellness and the arts. Day two will be the inaugural #MILLSUMMIT Entrepreneurship Day, featuring local and national venture capitalists, ~disruptors~ and startup founders.

Leadership Day will be emceed by local designer-slash-comic Misty Tyson, with keynote speakers:

  • Clay Mowry, VP of marketing for Jeff Bezos’ space exploration company, Blue
    Origin (Day 1)
  • Kechi Okwuchi, motivational speaker, burn survivor advocate and two-time finalist on “America’s Got Talent” (Day 1)

Entrepreneurship Day will hosted by Monique Helstrom, former chief of Simon Sinek, with keynote speakers:

  • Del Johnson, principal at Backstage Capital, a VC fund that specifically invests in underrepresented founders (Day 2)
  • Wayne Kimmel, sports tech venture capitalist, entrepreneur and author who has been named one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Power 100. (Day 2)

Introductions will be done by Mayor Mike Purzycki, U.S. Rep Lisa Blunt-Rochester, Gov. John Carney and New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer.
