Terracycle: Trenton recycling company wins Greenfest Philly

Organized by the Clean Air Council, the free environmental festival offers a $750 prize to the top local "green innovator." The winner is chosen by a panel of judges, GreenFest attendees and online voting.

TerraCycle, a recycling company based in Trenton, won this Sunday’s eighth annual GreenFest Philly, beating out seven other organizations focused on sustainability.

Organized by the Clean Air Council, the free environmental festival offers a $750 prize to the top local “green innovator.” The winner is chosen by a panel of judges, GreenFest attendees and online voting.

Find a full list of the competing organizations here. Paper Wool, a GoodCompany Group company that creates pillows filled with junk mail, participated in the competition.

The festival was held at Headhouse Square.
