tapCLIQ, the largely-stealth “mobile customer engagement and advertising” startup in the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News Project Liberty Digital Incubator, is now in private beta, according to a tweet.
The company also applied for the Knight News Challenge in the Mobile category, asking for $1.2 – $2 million to fund its efforts. According to the application, three people are working on tapCLIQ full time with an additional four part-time employees and two advisors.
tapCLIQ’s CEO, Chirantan Bhatt, recently spoke on a Chamber of Commerce panel on emerging industry incubators.
