If it seems like there are more tech job postings around, the data agrees.

Tech industry association CompTIA released its annual analysis of tech job data, called Cyberstates, on Wednesday. Overall, the country added 200,000 tech jobs in 2017, the study states.

The report also breaks out the data into local areas, including D.C. Here are a few takeaways:

The report states D.C. has the fourth-highest concentration of tech workers relative to its overall employment base, with 9.7 of District workers in the field. Additionally, Maryland and Virginia are both in the top 10 in this category.

The report reiterates that D.C. has the highest representation of women in the tech sector, with 39.5 percent. Nationally, 34 percent of tech workers are women, the study finds.

When compared with 2016, results from 2017 showed some gains. D.C. gained about 1,000 tech jobs. But it was the openings that posted a big increase, as the District saw a nearly 25 percent increase in emerging tech job postings.

In all, the District has 78,500 jobs and about 3,600 tech business establishments with payroll. Software and web developers remain the leading tech occupation with their ranks at 7,300.
