Downtown biotech startup Cerecor pulled in more than $16.25 million in equity and debt funding in a Series B round, according to an SEC filing. The fundraising was out of a $33.25 million offering. The neuroscience drug developer has raised over $45 million in equity and debt since 2012, according to filings.
Who’s making moves?
Columbia-based Think BIG Learn Smart was awarded a federal contract with the Department of Defense Education Activity. The five-year deal will have the technology training and certification firm issuing Adobe Certified Associate and Microsoft Office Specialist certificates to Pre-K through 12th grade students in the department’s schools.
Baltimore biotech startup Tissue Analytics was accepted into the second class of startups in the Dreamit Health Philadelphia accelerator, as Technical.ly Philly reports.
Jones Falls web design firm idfive added web developer Solomon Scott, marking a doubling of the firm’s team this year, the Baltimore Business Journal reports.
Planit added UI developer Alex Meyerson, The Daily Record reports. Meyerson comes to the downtown agency from Red Barn Technology Group in Binghamton, N.Y.
