It’s no secret that window units suck.
That’s why we were excited to see Likuma Labs’ Kickstarter for Noria, a smart-home answer to the clunky air-conditioning units that everyone uses. It’s smaller and easier to install, plus you can control it from your smartphone, the team says. They’re trying to raise $250,000.
Likuma, the NextFab-based product firm that designed prototypes for Biomeme and Nucleus, has been working on the project for more than two years, said cofounder Kurt Swanson.
Pre-order it for $295 (it will retail for $395). Sadly, they won’t be ready till next summer.
