“The speakers at this year’s event are truly world-class, and they represent expertise ranging from search engine optimization to behavioral psychology,” said PSL prez Bob Moore. “We’ve also got several VCs flying in from around the country to take pitch meetings with Philly startups, so the opportunities for tangible outcomes are tremendous.”
Startups can also apply to pitch a group of investors from a wide range of targets.
Visit LinkLast month, PSL’s executive director Yuval Yarden stepped down after a controversial panel discussion on diversity. Yarden has since joined D.C.-based organization Global Entrepreneurship Network as Director for Ecosystem Engagement.
We checked in with Moore on how that process was coming along:
“PSL’s Board, including several incoming members who will be announced in December, collaborated with advisors and partners throughout the city to scope out the Executive Director role and articulate what we’re looking for in PSL’s day-to-day leadership,” the exec said in an email. “We’ve been thrilled with the level of interest to date and look forward to the remainder of the process. We are now accepting applications, and we hope to announce our new hire by early next year.”
