SevOne’s coming to N3rd Street.

The Wilmington, Del.-based IT management company that recently announced a $150 million round from Bain Capital is opening a satellite development office in Indy Hall‘s original space on Strawberry Street in Old City (yes, if you want to nitpick, we know it’s not exactly on North 3rd Street), said Nicholas Reid, SevOne’s Director of Product Design and Management. The new office will open next week and will have space for up to 25 engineers, Reid said. Eight engineers from SevOne’s Wilmington office will relocate and the rest, SevOne will hire (watch our jobs board).

SevOne chose Philly for its cost-effectiveness and also because of its bootstrapping spirit, Reid said.

“We […] like the rising N3rd scene,” Reid wrote in an email. “It seems to have a bootstrap mentality which we really respect and appreciate – we took very little funding prior to the recent Bain round.”

SevOne, which works with big-name clients like Lockheed Martin, Comcast and Credit Suisse, has 141 employees, according to the Inquirer.
