RevZilla, the Navy Yard-based motorcycle gear ecommerce company, won PACT‘s Enterprise Award for IT Innovator of the Year. The company expanded its warehouse in the Navy Yard earlier this year.
In what is perhaps another sign of the regional movement in tech firm locations, five of the dozen Enterprise Award winners are based in Philadelphia, the city. In the past, that has not been the case in the historically suburban dominated awards (see past winners here), in part because of the region’s past strengths and perhaps too in part because of PACT itself, which often feels like the more traditional, suburban and buttoned-up counterpart to the more city-oriented, more grassroots Philly Startup Leaders group whose membership has tended to represent earlier stage businesses. The Enterprise Awards were held last week at Valley Forge Casino.
