remodelmate partners with interior design service Havenly

This partnership will allow remodelmate customers to purchase a templated kitchen renovation designed by Havenly.

D.C.–based home renovation marketplace remodelmate this week announced a new strategic partnership with nationwide interior design service Havenly.

This partnership will allow remodelmate customers to purchase a templated kitchen renovation designed by Havenly’s Head of Design Shelby Girard, the companies said in a press release. Havenly’s “The Shelby” kitchen renovation, costing $24, 530, will be exclusively available for remodelmate customers in the District, Maryland and Virginia.

“Our goal has always been to make renovations predictable and the overall experience of remodeling a home less stressful.” Chad Hall, CEO and founder of remodelmate said in a statement. “Our partnership with Havenly hits those two nails squarely on the head. With the rollout of this templated renovation, homeowners simply select their Havenly-inspired design and the rest is taken care of — ordering, logistics, any necessary permits, installation, and, of course, payment and customer success. Lift one finger, then don’t lift another when you book ‘The Shelby’ with remodelmate’s Concierge service.”

The exclusive kitchen renovation package includes a countertop, backsplash, sink and faucet, cabinets with knobs and pulls, dishwasher, oven and stove top, hood range, shelf brackets, and a refrigerator.

“This is such an organic partnership for both of us since Havenly’s superpower has always been the design of physical spaces, while ours is predictability and transparency in the start and completion of home renovations,” Jon Amar, cofounder and head of growth at remodelmate, said in the press release.

In addition to partnering with Havenly, the company said it recently launched a referral program with six D.C. ACE Hardware stores where they will act as the exclusive home renovation referral source for ACE customers. Remodelmate recently won first place in the final pitch competition at the 2018 AfroTech Conference, a gathering for African American technologists, startups and entrepreneurs.

remodelmate also said it will launch a major product update, dubbed “remodelmate 2.0” in a few weeks, which will digitize and automate the home renovation process. It will feature customer and contractor dashboards, secure online payments and more.
