Steep Hill, a medical cannabis testing and analytics firm, named Andrew Rosenstein as interim CEO following the retirement of Jmîchaeĺe Keller.
Rosenstein became CEO of Steep Hill Maryland when the Berkeley, Calif.–based company launched locally in 2016. That lab, located in Columbia, aims to complete its accreditation process by the end of the month, according to Steep Hill. Rosenstein has since also become CEO of the company’s operations in D.C. and Pennsylvania. He also serves as director of  University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center.
Steep Hill operates services to measure safety and purity of cannabis for distributors and producers of medical cannabis in 10 states and a total of nine countries. Along with the CEO transition, the company also said investor Merida Capital Partners increased its stake in the company. Terms were not disclosed.

Mt. Washington–based CreditXpert, which offers software tools to help mortgage professionals analyze and manage credit, announced two director-level hires last week.
Shesha Pancholi joined the company as Director of Product Management to lead product strategy and execution. She previously worked at Baltimore-based Laureate International Universities as Director of Product Management and global head of mobile, and previously held product management roles at AOL and Neustar.
Sasha Blanton was hired as Director of User Experience. He will lead the company’s overall UX strategy. Blanton, who received an MFA at Towson University, previously held a similar role at Envolve Innovation Labs and was part of a design team at K12 Inc.

“Sasha is one of the rock stars joining the CreditXpert team this year who will help us take our successful software business to the next level,” CreditXpert Managing Director Dave Chung said in a statement. “Our flat organizational structure, which allows all employees to make a true impact, combined with our standard-setting compensation and benefits package and the flexibility to balance life and career creates an outstanding work environment.”
