‘Pong on the Cira Centre’ officially world’s largest video game

Pong on the Cira Centre and the Drexel professor, Dr. Frank Lee, who helped program the lights that drove it, found their place in the Guiness Book of World Records, officially being recognized the "Largest Architectural Videogame Display" ever.

Earlier this year, to kickoff the third annual Philly Tech Week presented by AT&T, thousands of you saw a skyscraper get turned into a video game.

That spectacle and the Drexel professor, Dr. Frank Lee, who helped program the lights on the Cira Centre, found their place in the Guiness Book of World Records, officially being recognized the “Largest Architectural Videogame Display” ever.

See the official record on the Guiness Book of World Records here and read how the whole project got done here. (Don’t worry, skyscraper gaming will return for Philly Tech Week next April, so come out this week for early planning to hear what’s coming.)

The communications team at Drexel led the proposal process, which included support from Cira’s owner Brandywine Realty Trust, testimonials from some of you who attended the first game and, full disclosure, some of us at Technical.ly Philly.
