There’s a Pokéwalk through Philly to celebrate one month of Pokémon Go

On Aug. 6, from 6 p.m. to midnight, Pokémon Go fans will be trekking across the city.

In case you didn’t hear, Pokémon Go may be one of the few games that’s actually good for you.
Now there’s something called PokéWalk Philly you might want to check out.
On Aug. 6, from 6 p.m. to midnight, trainers will be trekking through town following a map with curated Pokéstops, on the one-month anniversary of the game’s worldwide release.

Frank Saint, a 24-year-old freelance graphic designer from Camden, started @PokemonGoPHL as a way to “connect the Pokémon Go community in the Philly area”
Although the account bills itself to be the “official hub for trainers in/around Philly,” the account has no ties to Niantic, the game’s developer.
By Wednesday afternoon, Saint said some 500 people had RSVP’d through the event’s website. This matches up with the 590 who had confirmed their attendance through the Facebook event page.
P.S. Please, nobody yell out Dragonite unless they actually see him.
