In 2015, Ann Arbor, Mich.-based nonprofit Gamers Outreach started a pilot program called “Player 2” at Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
The goal of the program was to help set up videogames for hospitalized children, play alongside them and provide technical support for the “GO Karts” (Gamers Outreach Kart), a portable, medical-grade gaming kiosk the nonprofit builds and distributes to hospitals across in the country.
For those Philly gamers with interest in volunteering time, the organization has put out a call for volunteers at seven medical facilities in the country, including one in Philly: St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
Calling all fellow gamers! We're recruiting "Player 2" volunteers to support 7 different locations around the country! 👾👾

Volunteers are required to distribute games to patients throughout a hospital, provide minor tech support and, of course, play games with kids.
