We are excited to announce that the fourth annual Philly Tech Week 2014 presented by AT&T is slated to happen Friday, April 4 to Saturday, April 12, 2014. (You’ll notice the week will happen a little earlier next year than in years past, in the hopes more university students will be able to get involved.)

We heard a lot of feedback from Philly Tech Week 2013 asking for more structure to the week. To answer that, new this year are “track days”—where designated neighborhoods will host themed track concentrations (STEM/Access, Creative/Art, Business/Entrepreneurship, Civic/Policy, Design/Dev and Media/Marketing) on specific days. An example would be a group of events themed around Media happening on Tuesday, April 8 in Northern Liberties.

Plenty more to be announced on that in the coming weeks.

Note that even if your event doesn’t line up in a Track Day location, or date – it’s okay! We still welcome community events on our calendar outside of the track days.

It may seem early, but please take a look at our Event Organizers Guide, and share your interest with us by filling out our Event Proposal Form. To have your event included in Track Days, return the Event Proposal Form by Dec. 16.

Due to the great response during the 2013 event, this will be our second year offering Philly Tech Week micro-grants to support community efforts for events. Please apply by Jan. 1 here.

Interested in supporting the week through sponsorship to help make this happen and get your organization in front of the Philly tech scene? Take a look at our PTW2014 Media Kit.

Save the date to join us for our Philly Tech Week 2014 planning event, happening on Nov. 20 at VentureF0rth: RSVP here.

As always, we’re eagerly looking forward to another great community event! Any questions or comments, please share them below and we’ll help clarify any details.
