Philly’s makers — and their skills — can be yours at the next Philly Give & Get.
The charity auction that got its start at Indy Hall and during Philly Tech Week is hosting its “maker” edition on Oct. 10 at Johnny Brenda’s. All proceeds will go toward West Philly’s Scribe Video Center.
Get tickets (starting at $12) here.
At the event, you can bid on “dates” with:
- David Clayton of the Department of Making + Doing, who will teach you how to laser engrave, and Indy Hall-based artist Sean Martorana, who will give you a one-on-one art lesson
- Tim Wisniewski, the city’s Civic Technology Director, who will show you how to use data to drive your organization’s reach, and marketing “guru” Todd von Deak, who will review your organization’s marketing strategy
- Darla Jackson of The Philadelphia Sculpture Gym, who will teach you Fabrication 101 or create an art piece with you at the Gym, and Brandon Bouldon of NextFab Studio, who will take you on a tour of NextFab’s 3D printing studio or take a Design for Additive Manufacturing Class with you
