Philly Game Mechanics is counting on you to help the kids at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
The third annual iteration of the group’s Holiday Social shindig is happening on Dec. 16 at Redcap’s Corner. To get in, simply bring a new, non-toxic, unwrapped toy or book for the kiddos.
RSVP“We love having this event is because we have a chance to do something great for others, while having a relaxing, mostly casual, event for community members at the end of the year,” said organizer and game developer Shawn Pierre.
Of course, you should expect videogames throughout the evening.
Earlier this year, the group formerly known as Philly Dev Night rebranded to its current name. It also became a charitable project within CultureTrust Greater Philadelphia, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Last year, the toy drive collected 70 toys. Can we help them get to 100?
