Meetup organizers, take note: Peerspace, which looks to help event organizers rent eye-catching venues, expanded to D.C. this week.

According to a blog post from the San Francisco–based company, the marketplace provides a way for hosts to generate extra income as well as opening up access to some under-the-radar spaces.

In all, 68 spaces are currently listed. We’ve seen tech community events held in some that are listed, such as coworking spaces the Sixth & I Synagogue which hosted DC Tech Meetup, but it looks like there’s plenty of other eclectic venues in the mix. There’s even some homes.

“We have high hopes for what the people of D.C. will do in this technicolor churchpresidential cottage, and 150-year old synagogue,” the blog post states.

Peerspace also expanded to Boston and Atlanta on the week, and is now in nine cities.
