No, we’re talking about the other Philadelphia skyscraper that will be celebrating Philly Tech Week Presented by AT&T.
Though the Arcade at the Oval kickoff party featuring Cira Centre Tetris will now take place tomorrow (Saturday, April 5, 7-10:30pm) due to rain, tonight you can still get your fix of tall building LED light shows about Philly tech.
An animated message designed by local developers to celebrate Philly Tech Week will be on the more than 2 million, energy-efficient LED lights with color capability that top the PECO Crown Lights. The message will broadcast through the weekend, so it will run in the same skyline as the world’s largest video game, Tetris on the Cira Centre as developed by Drexel’s Dr. Frank Lee.
The animation, with Nintendo Game Boy and Tetris inspiration, was designed by a pair of Old City video game development company cofounders, Will Stallwood of Cipher Prime and Parker Whitney of Flyclops.
Technical.ly Philly worked with Stallwood and Whitney and PECO to put the message up loudly that Philly has its fair share of technologist-artists.-30-
