OrderUp sites sold more than 32K items during the Super Bowl

While the Baltimore Ravens were the story of Sunday, OrderUp had a pretty good day too.
The Canton-based startup facilitates food ordering online through several company-owned websites and other websites nationwide administered by OrderUp partners who run their own “digital franchises.” Technically Baltimore reported in January on OrderUp’s digital-franchising scheme.

During the Super Bowl, people logged on to OrderUp sites purchased 32,451 menu items, said CEO Chris Jeffery. Here are some more OrderUp stats from Super Bowl Sunday:

  • A total of 26,979 visits to OrderUp sites took place.
  • Cheese pizza was the most-ordered menu item with more than 250 ordered nationwide. (And one restaurant in Indiana had the filled the most cheese pizza orders.)
  • The peak hour for ordering was between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., although traffic soared between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Locally, on EatBmore.com, Mother’s Grill’s “10 wings”  menu item was the most-ordered item.
