Justin Howell and Kirk Voltz didn’t necessarily expect to launch a savings app for millennials. The cofounders behind Rize, a Clarendon-based fintech company, came from diverse backgrounds. Howell worked in private equity before becoming an entrepreneur, but quit when he realized he was “tired of making rich people richer.”
And Voltz? He was a fine artist “years ago” before moving into magazine design and finally web design and UI/UX. What drew him to the entrepreneurial lifestyle? “I’ve always wanted to make a bigger difference,” Voltz told Technical.ly in a recent interview.
A common interest to help people (save money) is what connects the Rize team, and if you share this desire then Rize is hiring — join the company as a backend engineer.
