I’m always surprised when entrepreneurs seem to feel like they’re bothering me when they email a pitch idea. Yes, we get lots of emails every day, but we actually do want your pitches. One thing we’ve learned through the weekly Pitch the Press meetings at 1313 Innovation (which I attend weekly), is that a lot of startup founders feel like they need guidance when it comes to communicating with the press.
In response, 1313 Innovation will hold its first free media communication workshop, “Off the Record with Scott,” on Tuesday, Oct. 3 from 5:30–7:00 p.m.
“Scott” is Scott Goss, small business and innovation reporter for the News Journal. He’ll offer advice for approaching the media and answer your questions.
While the event is free, you’ll need a ticket.
