A biotech company that provides sterilization for pharma and medical device companies is moving from Baltimore city to Anne Arundel County.
After five years at the University of Maryland BioPark, Noxilizer will expand with the move to a new office in Hanover near Arundel Mills Mall. The 10,481 sq ft. space in a single-story building on Ashton Road offers “a more efficient facility to accommodate its growing market presence,” according to the company.
“The new office allows us to retain all of the advantages of urban connectivity while affording us the space we need to meet the growth we’re experiencing,” Lawrence Bruder, President and CEO of Noxilizer, said in a statement. “It is thrilling to see this move as an objective sign of how much we have grown as a company over the past five years.”
The company’s technology uses nitrogen dioxide to sterilize items such as including prefilled syringes, drug-device combination products, and custom implants. That’s a departure from traditional sterilization methods. The company also has an office in Japan, according to its website.
The Anne Arundel County office is owned by Feldman Bergin Development in partnership with Kenwood Management Company. Marley Welsh and Kate Jordan of Lee & Associates represented the owners, while Michael Singer and Matthew Lunnen of Newmark Knight Frank represented the company.
VAYA Pharma also recently departed the BioPark for Columbia. In December, the BioPark expanded with a new space called The Grid, which offers coworking as well as office space for companies.
