Businesses and nonprofits can make great, symbiotic teams, from big biz partnerships with community organizations to projects like the Spaceboy Clothing/Downtown Visions Humble Park Project to Dual School partnering with local businesses. These partnerships demonstrate commitment to community and can help strengthen teams — and they’ve been shown to help boost a business’s bottom line, too.

Not sure where to start making connections across the nonprofit/business aisle? The New Castle County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a networking event and panel called “Making an Impact: Connecting Non-Profits and Businesses” on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from  5 to 7 p.m. at the Chamber offices at 920 Justison St. in Wilmington.

The one-hour panel discussion will feature:

  • Stuart Comstock Gay, Delaware Community Foundation
  • Rick Deadwyler, Corteva
  • Michelle Taylor, United Way

Tickets are $20 (or $10 for NCCCC Members). Click here to register.
