It’s the second week for McKeever Conwell and NoBadGift.com at the NewME Accelerator in San Francisco, and he’s “definitely enjoying it.”
“It’s a little weird, though, living in a house with seven other people with one bathroom,” says Conwell.

McKeever Conwell

Conwell and NoBadGift.com co-founders Michael Washington and Sam Henry, who are not at the NewME Accelerator, are still working on several NoBadGift.com projects.
An iPhone app that allows NoBadGift.com users to scan items in stores and add the items to their wish lists was just released this week.

Conwell says an Android app will come out this week. Over the next two months, the three co-founders plan to release a mobile version of NoBadGift.com.
NoBadGift.com was chosen in July to be one of seven startups in the summer/fall 2012 class at NewME, the Silicon Valley-based accelerator founded last year for underrepresented demographics in technology. So far, Conwell has met with venture capital firm Intel Ventures, attended a pitch event at Google Ventures and eaten dinner with Eric Ries, author of The Lean Startup. Tuesdays and Thursdays are meetings with mentors, and every other day except Saturday is a work day for Conwell.
Ten more weeks remain in the NewME program, but Conwell says he’s “learning a lot,” and that NoBadGift.com was better positioned to take advantage of the NewME Accelerator because of time spent in AccelerateBaltimore.
“The difference in where my company is compared to where it was before we started AccelerateBaltimore? It’s light years different,” he says.
