SXSW V2Venture, the latest program in a (rapidly) growing family of SXSW events, has announced the finalists for this year’s competition.
While the Las Vegas-based event does hold panels, discussions, hands-on demonstrations and a slew of networking events, the big show is V2V’s pitch competition. The competition brings together some of the best up-and-coming startups from across the country to pitch venture capitalists in classic demo-pit fashion. Startups are placed into categories such entertainment and content, health and wearables and social.
One of five startups selected to compete in the V2V finals for enterprise and smart data technologies is Wilmington-based cybersecurity startup My Digital Shield, which provides network protection for small businesses.
The pitch event will take place Wednesday, July 22.
