New meetup for archivists, librarians working in the digital age

A new meetup hopes to bring together professionals working at cultural institutions -- like museums, galleries, libraries -- to discuss how the field is changing, to work on side projects and to share expertise.

Inside the Chemical Heritage Foundation, one of the co-organizers of the newest digital humanities meetup.

What’s it like for an archivist working in the digital age?

A new meetup hopes to bring together professionals working at cultural institutions — like museums, galleries, libraries — to discuss how the field is changing, to work on side projects and to share expertise. It’s called the GLAM Cafe, which stands for galleries libraries, archives and museums. Coffee and snacks will be served.

They already had their kickoff this week, but Dec. 10 will be their next event at the Chemical Heritage Foundation in Old City.
