Movitas acquired by Florida’s Allin Interactive, to remain in Philly

Movitas will become Allin Interactive Latin America, which Movitas president Chuck Sacco will lead from Philadelphia, he told us. The new venture, which will focus on Mexico and Latin America, builds off of Movitas' work with Telmex, a major telecomm company in Mexico.

Movitas, the Berwyn-based mobile app company for the hotel industry, was acquired for an undisclosed amount by Allin Interactive, a Ft. Lauderdale-based company that also develops apps for the hospitality industry, according to a release.

Movitas will become Allin Interactive Latin America, which Movitas president Chuck Sacco will lead from the Philadelphia region, he told us. The new venture, which will focus on Mexico and Latin America, builds off of Movitas’ work with Telmex, a major telecomm company in Mexico.

Allin Interactive is owned by Pittsburgh-based Allin Corporation.

Movitas’ five employees, including Sacco, will remain here and work for Allin Interactive Latin America virtually, Sacco said.

Sacco, currently the entrepreneur in residence at Drexel’s Close School of Entrepreneurship, joined Movitas when the company acquired his mobile web advertising company PhindMe in 2009.
