With students back for fall, there’s a few new things getting into full gear on MICA’s campus.
The arts college just introduced a new Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in game design, and brought in Jason Corace as director.
The program is housed in a new building called the Dolphin Design Center, which is a home for tech-oriented creation.
On Saturday, Sept. 30, a free event will provide a look at what students are creating there.
The MICA Game Lab’s Fall Arcade is an afternoon-long curated exhibition of student-made games. Along with video games, there will also be virtual reality.

As Corace has explained, the program is also looking beyond video games, so there will be card-based and tabletop games, as well.
The 1-5 p.m. event is part of the Baltimore Innovation Week 2017 calendar.
