How many apps have you got on your phone? Now, how many apps have you got that specifically make life in the District easier or more enjoyable?
You might think you’re doing pretty well with a few transport-focused options and maybe an on-demand delivery app or two. But did you know you could be getting on-demand massages at home? In D.C. (OK, and also Philly, NYC, Los Angeles, Miami, London and more) there’s an app for that.
Thrillist has curated this list of 21 “essential” apps for life in the District. As you’d expect the list includes a healthy section on transportation and eating, as well as a “music and art” section and a “lifestyle and service” section.
Among the essential apps are those to delivery flowers (UrbanStems), get laundry done (Washio), get new music (Musx), get coffee delivered to your door (Fetch Coffee) and find out when that 90 bus will finally come pick you up (NextBus).
See the full list here.
Got an app you think is great, essential even, that’s not featured on this list? Tweet us, and tell us why the app makes your D.C. life better.
