MakeOffices is hosting a ‘pop-up-palooza’ at its newest DC location

Make in DC will be at the coworking company's Glover Park on May 16. The organizers are serious about packing in the pop-ups.

MakeOffices opened a new location in Glover Park earlier this year, and it’ll mark its public debut with a big event.

The May 16 event, titled Make In DC, will feature an afternoon of panels on pitching to investors and marketing.

Organizers are also planning a series of pop-up experiences, including a pop-up jungle from Urban Jungle, an art installation from Lemon Collective’s Lindsay Giffin and others. Plus, there will be a panel on pop-ups and “experiential marketing.”

“We have 20 confirmed popups – and that number continues to grow,” said Jazmin Jabbarnia, MakeOffices’ Regional Director. “Our Glover Park location is shaping up to be a unique addition to our portfolio, as it’s equal parts suburban and urban – attracting American and Georgetown University student entrepreneurs, the residential work-from-home crowd, and established companies, too.”

The Glover Park location is Arlington, Va.–based MakeOffices’ ninth in the D.C. area, but the first in the neighborhood. It has 30,000 sq. ft. of space with 57 offices and 40 desks. There are also A/V booths, a recording room and a relaxation room, among other amenities.
