Have you been looking for an avenue into the tech sector, but haven’t found your path quite yet? Linode may be in a unique position to help.

The cloud services provider is expanding from South Jersey to Philly, building a brand-new office on N3rd Street. And interestingly, the company’s hiring push isn’t exclusive to engineers, coders and data scientists. Learn more July 12 at a Linode meet-and-greet produced by Technical.ly.

The networking event takes place at the Painted Bride in Old City and features a “Tech Transitions Panel” for those considering making their own career change. Networking starts at 5 p.m., the panel kicks off at 6 p.m. and there will be plenty of time afterwards for meeting the Linode team. (Don’t forget your resume!)

Let this be the place where you start the relationship that leads to your next career opportunity.

In its nearly 15 years of business, Linode has found that the key to hiring success isn’t necessarily finding a candidate who has all of the right experience, but finding one with a genuine love of technology and an aptitude for learning.

The company is hiring a bunch of Linux Technical Support staffers for the new space, which is a great entry-level opportunity for the right person to get a foothold in tech. The right person, company reps say, has a passion for providing excellent customer service, great writing skills, an interest in IT and that aforementioned aptitude for learning. They’ll teach you the rest.

And if you’re a seasoned tech veteran who is looking for a change, join us! Linode is also hiring for plenty of mid- to senior-level positions, which include flexible work hours, amazing benefits and a great company culture.

Full disclosure: Technical.ly has partnered with Linode to produce this event.
