Benjamin Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania is teaming up with a nonprofit agency and colleges to reinvigorate Lehigh Valley’s manufacturing industry by way of 3D printing, Lehigh Valley Business reports. The organizations are coming together to lead the federally-funded National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute. The Institute hopes to train manufacturing companies in the ways of 3D printing, as well as support those that are already using the process.

Osage Ventures managing partner Robert Adelson tops the list of political contributions in the Montgomery County town of Merion with $25,000 donated to the Democratic National Committee Services Corporation, Patch reports. Adelson is the number one and number two highest contributor with two separate donations totaling $25,000. Adelson’s wife, Marta Adelson, is the town’s third highest contributor with $5,000 donated to the Democratic National Committee Services Corporation.

PandoDaily profiles First Round Capital’s new educational and networking events called +Startup. The events are meant to offer resources to the “wider startup world,” PandoDaily reports. The first event was held earlier this summer in San Francisco and it’s coming to New York next. No word yet on if there will be a Philly version.
