Some prominent diversity and inclusion leaders working in the local tech scene are gathering for a panel discussion on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Ogilvy DC is sponsoring the “Beyond the Buzzwords: Insights into Inclusive Hiring and Culture Building” panel discussion and networking event, and will be hosting it at its office at 1111 19th St. NW. Attendees can expect to come learn about how to better attract and retain diverse employees. The event will specifically focus how on executives and HR representatives can improve workplace cultures.
Tickets to the event are $10 through Tuesday.
RegisterImani Greene, an advertising and communications professional, will moderate the candid discussion. Panelists include:
- Hilliary Turnipseed, leader of the diversity and inclusion practice for boutique talent consultancy, Shadow Search
- Veni Kunche, founder of Diversify Tech and senior software engineer at the U.S. Geological Survey

Out in Tech DC | Tech & Campaign 2020
Out in Tech DC, the local chapter of the nonprofit helping LGBTQ+ people advance in the tech community, is teaming up with TheBridge to host this panel discussion on how the upcoming national election will impact the local tech community.

Coding Day for Beginners
