Name: Leah Kauffman
Neighborhood: East Passyunk (represent!)
Job: Executive Entertainment & Lifestyle Editor, PhillyVoice.com
Side project: Rad-Girls.com
Here’s where I’ll be at Philly Tech Week 2015 presented by Comcast:
1. The Rad Awards
The Rad Awards is a party hosted by Rad-Girls.com, honoring those who support and inspire women in the fields of technology, media, culture and business. We’ve received a beautiful outpouring of enthusiasm from nominees and attendees. I can’t wait to celebrate the success of Philadelphia’s thought leaders and change makers during this exciting event. My hope is that our attendees will connect and collaborate with one another after meeting at The Rad Awards.
2. The Innovation Mapped Party
What a great opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of how far Philadelphia has come in terms of innovation and technology. I’m sure that there are a million stories waiting to be reported from that party. I’ll be there early for the free poster!
3. Philadelphia Museum of Art Tech Tour
I am absolutely thrilled that The Philadelphia Museum of Art is hosting a behind the scenes tech tour. As an entertainment & lifestyle editor, I’m always curious to learn how older, established institutions are using technology to enhance the museum experience. Top that off with Art After 5, and I’ve officially started my weekend off on the right foot.
4. #Failfest
What could be more inspiring than listening to an entrepreneur share their story? There is also a really hopeful and human element here — it’s okay if something doesn’t work out the way you had hoped it would. On to the next one…
5. The Tech Week Signature Event
This event appeals to my inner social butterfly. The Signature Event is the one time of year I get to see pretty much everybody I know and make new acquaintances. I’m excited to chat with guests about the great destination we’re building over at PhillyVoice.com for untold, must-know and interesting news.
