Kevin Plank is another CEO slamming Trump’s move to quit the Paris Accord

Kevin Plank voiced his opposition to President Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris climate accords on Friday.
“As a business leader concerned with creating American jobs, I disagree with the decision to exit the Paris accord, the Under Armour founder said in a statement, according to Fox Business.
On Thursday, Trump announced that the U.S. would join Syria and Nicaragua as the only countries that are not signees of the climate pact, which lays out a framework for reducing emissions.
“We at Under Armour are disappointed by the Administration’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement as climate change continues to threaten our planet, our cities and our economies,” Plank said. “Climate change is real and must be taken seriously by our business community, our customers, our neighbors and our elected officials.”
Plank is among a number of high-profile business leaders speaking out against Trump’s decision. Tesla founder Elon Musk resigned from the president’s business advisory councils as a result of the move.
It’s the second time Plank weighed in on a Trump move. After facing a backlash for his “real asset” remark about Trump on CNBC, Plank took out a full page ad in the Sun saying that he made a poor choice of words and that he opposed to the ban on travel to the U.S. from mostly Muslim countries.
