John Avondolio and Katy Thorbahn recently joined marketing agency essentia, according to a company blog post. Both Avondolio and Thorbahn previously worked at Razorfish in Philadelphia for the past 15 years.
They are joining essentia partners Chris Cunningham and Shannon Stevens, who founded the Wilmington agency 10 years ago after honing their skills at various agencies in New York and Philadelphia, including Razorfish.
Avondolio will lead client engagement and strategy. Thorbahn will be essentia’s managing director.
“Chris and I had been looking for people to help us take essentia to the next level and could not be happier about bringing John and Katy on board,” Stevens, essentia’s creative director said. “Katy’s experience running a big agency and building out new service offerings was incredibly appealing to us as was the opportunity to work closely with John on solving client challenges.”
